The 17th Judicial CVC Board believes that professional mental health services are a funding priority and this is consistently our highest category of spending to provide mental health services to victims of crime. To ensure that qualified, caring and victim friendly professionals provide quality services; the Board has created mental health policies and guidelines.
Our Mental Health Guidelines were created to ensure that mental health providers are well acquainted with our policies. The Guidelines contain helpful information about:
Therapist qualifications;
The application process;
The approval process;
Treatment Plans;
Extension Requests;
Available funds;
Billing policies;
Payment policies; and
Frequently asked questions.
All therapists/counselors are required to view the Mental Health Guidelines and to complete the Mental Health Questionnaire, prior to receiving payments from CVC.
If you have additional questions, please visit the FAQ page or call 303-835-5690.
The Crime Victim Compensation Program was created by law, Colorado Revised Statute 24-4.1-101 et seq., and is operated in accordance with
the statute and the Bylaws, Policies and Procedures of the Seventeenth Judicial District CVC Board.
